About 4 months ago my boss came to me for a cheap solution for our docking points on our forklift terminals. The drivers were going over the dock plates and the USBs were vibrating out of the back and over time, shattering the USB connection points from frequent vibration when the USB connectors for our keyboards and our scanners were not pushed in all the way.
I have 2.5 meters of PLA per module, so can produce about 90 of these for about 20.00.
Cost of our docking mounts? 500 per and we damage about 4 to 8 of them each month and have to replace them.(we have about 240 forklifts country wide),so yeah you do the math..
Sizewise I think I can print about 20 or 30 of them on the printer.
Current infill is about 10 percent(prototype) Since as all they need to do is hold the USBs in. Will most likely boost to 25 percent for production due to vibration.
I realize this is a unique model however, I am handing over the fusion export as well as the STL so people can make the edits nee
