In the stock adapter of my smartphone (of this kind), the insulation of the wiring of the cable part was damaged. I ordered a new one - better design, color and durability, but while I was waiting for it, I decided to try to repair the old one. I very carefully cut the plastic casing in the part where the wiring zone for the cable wires to the contact pads of the adapter board is located, cleaned them and re-soldered them. Then I modeled a new angular protective case, divided it into 2 halves, and printed it out. I assembled such a new adapter (just glued the halves with superglue). Works like new!
