V12 engine shortblock

A V12 engine refers to an Internal Combustion engine with 12 cylinders arranged in a V configuration. Each of the right and left cylinders banks contain 6 cylinders. The angle between the banks can be 60 degrees (as in the Lamborghini 350GT) up to a 120 degree (as in the Ferrari 296GTB). These types of engines are mostly used in high performance vehicles due to their high pitched revs and impressive horsepower & torque figures A "short-block" is a generic, mechanical term used to refer to an engine block with the rotating assembly attached, such as the pistons, crankshafts, pulleys, etc.
