The V6 engine is a six-cylinder piston engine in which the cylinders share a common crankshaft and are arranged in a V-shaped configuration. The first V6 prototype engine was produced in 1906, but it was not until 1950 that the first automotive V6 engine went into production. In the past 20 to 30 years, the V6 layout has become the most common layout for six-cylinder car engines. Let us examine the four-stroke engines separately: First, the piston works. After the valve is opened, the piston moves up and down to fill the engine cylinder with fuel and air. The piston acts as a kind of pump. The more gasoline filled with air, the more efficient the vehicle will run. When fuel and air are compressed in the "upward" movement of the piston, an explosion occurs. When it reaches the highest level, the spark plug ignites the fuel and produces a spark. The downward movement of the piston opens the valve and guides the cylinder to the exhaust port. The linear movement of the piston in the up and down direction is partially converted into rotational movement by the crankshaft. This movement causes the tires of the vehicle to rotate.
