The device consists of 8 vertical bars which have a cross-section in the form of an equilateral triangle. Changing the display means that the bars are turned to the visible direction by one of the three sides. There are two characters on each side of the bar that correspond to the first and second lines of the banner displayed.
The letters on the bars are color coded. They are created using multi-color printing on a 3D printer.
Creating models of individual bars is laborious. To simplify the procedure, I created the DoorLabel program. The prerequisite is that you have the FreeCad program installed. FreeCad is a free program for the creating 3D objects.
Procedure:
Download the DoorLabel. zip file.
Unzip the zip file into the directory, where you will run the program.
Run program DoorLabel.exe. All functionalities are on 3 tabs.
On the first tab, enter 3 double-line texts. Each text can contain a maximum of 8 characters
