This was fabricated in a night and cost under $20, was designed to fit into a USPS fixed rate shipping box, it allowed my mother-in-law to spend her last days (lung cancer) in her own home without having to buy a $1000 piece of life support equipment that Medicare would not supply. (Yep, they only supply the ventilator and not the support arm needed if you have a tracheostomy.)

Disclaimer: I cannot recommend that you use my design in place of medical equipment and am not responsible if you do. I am posting this because it is relevant to the discussion on the cost and access to life saving equipment as COVID-19 threatens developing countries.

Besides the 3d printed parts, I used a few lengths of ½” EMT conduit from Home Depot and a few $1 bags of #8 screws from Walmart. The flexible neck was from a $10 clip on lamp, but was probably not necessary.
