This little object is a test for vertical stepping of your printer. It can be used to test for physical resolution, software resolution and slicer performance.
Its a simple rectangle composed of fifty-one smaller rectangles that step from 1mm to 2mm by .02mm steps. There are two rows of steps. There are markings by .2mm to give an easier way to judge where you are.
You can scale this in the x and y planes for your convenience. If you scale in the Z plane, that will (of course) affect the heights and the markings will no longe be correct. However this may be useful for further resolution tests.
Note the photo. the .12mm test gave nice even rectangles, while at .10 the slicer gave artifacts (see the pencil lines on the object.
My printer is a Monoprice Maker Select Plus (Wanhao I3) and the objects were sliced with Cura 3.5.
