I have been watching a certain show about Vikings on a particular channel that focuses on History. (No copyright infringement here!)
Also I have been looking into metal casting of 3D printed parts, and so decided to model a viking axe head.
I don't currently have the capacity to cast metal, but would love to see someone cast this head if they feel up to it.
It is not designed with draft, but a little sanding on the printed parts should take care of that.
It is split into two halves for strength of a printed part, and to facilitate casting. Just print a left and a right, and you should be good to go.
There are also versions of the halves with Futhark runes on them (because awesome). The runes are transliterated from English, and say "God among men" (because awesome).
I'm not sure how well the runes will be able to be cast, but I suppose we'll see.
Supports will be required for the handle slot.
I'm currently printing mine, and will update once I have.
Obviously
