This is a holder I designed for my school's vinyl-cutter. Often during long prints someone would have to hold and rotate rolls of vinyl, but with some threaded rod and old caster wheels I was able to make a simple holder.
The brackets used to hold the caster wheels can be pressure fit, but if whatever caster wheels you may have are to small, there is a clamp that takes a 10-24 machine screw to tighten, and is attached to the 1/4" MDF rib with two 1/4-20 bolts. The threaded rod is 3/8" in diameter. I don't know the specific make of the caster wheels, but the wheels are 1.25 inches in diameter, and the truncated conical nub that the brackets secure to is 0.35" in diameter at the top of the cone, 0.38" in diameter at the bottom of the cone, and 1/2" tall.
This was designed in Rhinoceros 5. The ribs were cut from 1/4" MDF on a 40 watt Epilog Laser, and the brackets were printed on a Makerbot Replicator 2 at 5% infill with 2 shells.
