Clip to go on the side of a violin and intended to hold a radio mic. These days it's possible to purchase small wireless mics for a very reasonable cost, and some of them are pretty good quality. Much cheaper than purchasing an radio mic designed for a violin, which can be very expensive. The one I got had a 3.5mm output jack (as well as USB/apple connectors) allowing it to plug directly into a sound mixer.
"Clamp distance" in the OpenSCAD file is the actual dimension between the clamping parts - in other words, the width of the violin at its edge, less around 2mm.
Remixed from the original to make the clip more sturdy and specifically to hold the mics that I've got. It also updates how some of the parameters in the OpenSCAD file work.
