# Vive head mount mod
Parametric 3d-printable welding headband mod to replace the original Vive head strap.

**All units are in millimeters**



### What you need for this mod

* 3M Speedglas 9100 Welding Headband, although might only need to tweak a few parameters to make the 3d-printed parts fit another brand.
* 2X screws that fit in the holes on the sides of the headband. The ones used for this headband are 5mm in diameter.
* 2X Wing nuts that fits the screws.
* 2X large diameter washers that covers enough area of the distance adjustment slots.

* 4X 3mm diameter width screws for connecting the printed parts with the HMD through the steel loops.
* 4X washers that cover some area around the 3mm screws on both sides.
* 2X 3mm diameter nuts.

* Create design of top middle Velcro band.
* Add detailed build instructions.
* Revised design with built in On-ear headphones.
