🚗 Volvo V40 Boot False Floor Mounts – Because the Scrap Yard Only Had Half the Solution! So I recently bought myself a Volvo V40 (lovely car, by the way), and I noticed the boot was really deep. At first, I thought, “Classic Volvo—just giving you loads of space!” But then I found out there was actually supposed to be a false floor—you know, to hide away all the bits and bobs you like to keep in the boot without having them roll around or stare at you every time you open it.I managed to find the actual floor piece at a local scrap yard (win!), but no luck on the mounts. So while it fit perfectly, it kept sagging down because it had nothing to sit on. And if you’ve ever tried folding it up without support underneath... well, let’s just say it's not ideal when you're trying to grab your shopping bags. So—me being me—I fired up the 3D printer and designed four custom mounts to support the floor, just like Volvo should have included. I even added a little recess for magnets so the mounts stay in place during drives and don’t rattle around. They click neatly onto the sides of the boot, and now that false floor works exactly how it should. Simple, tidy, effective. These aren’t OEM parts, but they work a treat—and let’s be honest, sometimes DIY is better anyway. 😄Why I Made ThisI love 3D printing. It’s my way of turning small annoyances into satisfying fixes—and if I can help someone else out along the way, even better. I make things like this purely for fun, just to solve real-world problems (and because I can’t resist a good project).Got feedback? Ideas for improvements? Something completely different you’d like to see printed? Please let me know!💬 I’m always open to suggestions and constructive criticism. If you find this design useful or just appreciate the effort, I’d be chuffed if you:❤️ Favourite👍 Like🔁 Download👤 Follow me for more prints like thisAnd if you remix or adapt it, please tag me so others can see where the idea started.Let’s keep fixing the little things that
