That’s how the idea for a smaller version came about — same vortex principle, just in a more modest size. The model keeps the same styling, with the signature side tube and drainage slots. This time, though, I tilted the walls slightly inward — it’s easier to pour out excess water, and the berries stay in place. Simple tweak, but it makes a real difference in use. To make good use of the time, I also whipped up a couple jars of blackcurrant jam. I didn’t cook it — wanted to keep the fresh flavor.
