VSP Implant

These are 2 STL files used for Virtual Surgical Planning (VSP) for immediate dental implants and teeth in fibulas during jaw reconstruction. The "VSP Implant" is a 3.75 x 13mm implant with a 6mm diameter abutment. This 6mm cylinder is 16mm tall and spaced 3.5mm above the platform of the implant to reflect the distance occupied by a 3.5mm tall multi-unit abutment.In the trumpet shaped area, the smaller part closest to the implant is 1.5mm tall. This is useful to position the implant 1.5mm deep into the bone to account for expected bone loss.

The "Balboa VSP Implant" is a 3.3 x 12mm implant. The abutment diameter is still 6mm.

The abutment is 6mm in diameter to represent the space for a temporary coping (3.5mm diameter) plus space around it to inject resin during pickup of the prosthesis. With a Boolean Subtraction, the 6x16mm cylinder hollows out the space for the temporary coping during digital creation of the dental prosthesis.
