VW Aircooled engine deck measuring tool

A low cost alternative to the deck measuring plate that is commonly used on aircooled VW engines. Been using this tool for my latest engine build and is working as intended, crossed checked against an actual depth gauge.

If you suspect your print surface is not completly flat you might want to sand the part against a flat surface only to avoid any reading or relaibility issues.

Should hold a regular dial indicator. Mine is really short at only 3mm stroke
A heat set insert is meant to be used on the clamping portion of the fixture but might not be completely necessary.

Printed with ABS at a 0.24mm layer height, 4 perimeters, 5 top and bottom layers.
0.4mm nozzle.
