I always disliked the old mechanical VDO clock that came with my '73 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. I had to repair it so many times and even when it was working, it never kept accurate time. Well, it stopped tickin' for the last time! I designed these two pieces to help house both the rear and front printed circuit boards of a cheapo "Dragon Gauge" tachometer.
Printing out version 2 in clear filament looks super cool - the whole face illuminates in blue... though it is a bit bright without another layer of tinting over the LEDs, so be sure to source some. I'll update with pictures later.
Also, stay tuned for the replacement speedo and the alternative needle version of the tachometer. :)
