Waffle coaster

Coaster based on truncated octahedron packing.

When I first made this, I didn't have a 3D printer. I made it from layered chipboard cut on a Cricut, and stained and sealed it in polyurethane, as shown in the main photo. It's ugly but has a natural look to it.

I have never printed the coaster full size, and I'm not sure how well it works with overhangs. I did print a scaled down version, which you can see, shown top and bottom.
