Wall Box Marking Templates

Templates for cutting perfect holes in wallboard or other wall coverings (shiplap, beadboard, etc.) Follow these simple steps for a foolproof perfect hole every time:Print the needed templateInsert appropriate template into wall box (flat side out)Add double-sided tape to smooth face of template (thicker gel-like tape works great)Place your drywall, beadboard, or other wall covering in its final placePress firmly in the area(s) of the templates, to make sure the tape adheresCarefully pull the board away from the wall (straight, with no tilting)Template(s) should still be attached to backside of boardTrace around template (skipping the “ears”)Pull the templates away from the boardUse a jig saw or other means to cut the hole along the lines drawn in step 8Place board back on wall and behold the perfect hole alignment!Includes templates for Single gang electrical boxDouble gang electrical boxOatey I2K recessed water shutoff
