Makes
a real walnut, scanned on my DIY 3D SLS Scanner.
The scan was done in the modified version of FlexScan3D. and I used Arisa Turntable (available as DIY kit) for automatic positioning and scanning process.
The most interesting thing in this scan process, was the launching of the Hardware Triggering option for the scanner. "Hardware Triggering and Sync" is a circuit to enhance the controlling and timing of the scanner, and it extremely increases the scan speed and quality.
Generally, the capturing time without Hardware Triggering circuit, is about 3~5 seconds. and by using the Hardware Triggering option, the scan time will be reduces to less than 1s.
watch this video to see the scan process of this walnut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKEqqhiK2es
The focus of this video is to present the Hardware Triggering option, but you can see whole of the scanning process well.
