I had fits printing the torso for Vague Director's Wardog (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2667911). After 3 failed prints, 2 clogged nozzles and one set of bashed knuckes (that Z axis rod is mean!), I split it in half. I'm not sure why, but the halves printed just fine.

I recommend turning the part upside down so the torso ring is on the top, and printing it that way.
