Watch Strap

Update (30/10/2019):
Added a second version of the sleeve to be stronger as the two bottom prongs, that stopped the sleeve moving to open, snapped off. It is also slightly lower profile but a bit wider. I also added a plain version of the link without the groove for an inlay because why not.

In short, my watch strap broke and I needed another. So I made my own! This strap is designed to comfortably fit my own wrist with a width compatible with my specific timepiece. The strap is 2cm in width and features a locking clip mechanism to fasten the strap to the wrist. The design is made to be easily assembled using lengths of 1.75mm filament as dowels to hold the links together for strength and smooth rotation. The Sleeve should be placed over the female clip before attaching to the the rest of the links.

I printed my strap in wood filament and coloured PLA.

In short I recommend printing this if you are a tinkerer and don't mind adjusting the design to suit your specifications.
