This is a pump you can run with your air pump. Using the air pump to do 2 things at once saving you energie.
The air is disperced into the water allowing it to be absorbed by the water and additionaly you can use the air travelling upwards to the surface to pump water with it.
The air pump can be connected with a hose having a inner diameter of 4mm
