F1 or Formula One is one of the most renowned form of motor racing world wide, this is what this conceptual time piece represents. In particular the F1 cars of the 60's when they were purely mechanical machines, no sophisticated electronics, no computers just raw power and the skill of the driver and mechanical team. It was in 1961 when all cars were fitted with then, the major technological development, of the mid-engine with a sleeker chassis reflected by the main body of this time piece along with the face representing the all important tachometer, the timber inlay, the steering wheel of the time and the strap patterned to represent the fine Italian leather driving gloves. Materials of the watch body can be made from; stainless steel, titanium or Aircraft aluminium, polished or painted. Wood or timber being a soft material would have to be protected with resins or faux wood could be used as they do today in modern luxury cars and being very durable and attractive.
