WD portable HDD caddy stack

Caddy stack for portable WD HDD's.

I have 4 WD Element HDDs which I use to backup the internal HDDs in a server and wanted to stack them all together.

The size of my WD portable HDD is 110.5mm x 82mm x 20mm, I have tried with some other variants of WD portable HDDs which also fit.

Each caddy is a separate unit so you can make a stack of as many as you like.

To avoid having to use supports, each caddy is split into separate parts of sides and braces/covers. This does mean the parts have to be glue together.

Each caddy has 2 sides and you can use either braces (less material and quicker print time) or full covers.

Latches at the front of the caddy holds the HDD in the enclosure and allow for insertion and removal of the HDD.

I added a USB hub which has switches (Startech HB30A4AIB) to turn each HDD off once the device has been ejected/unmounted. This saves having to unplug the USB cable so prevents wear and tear on the connectors.
