I built this weather station as a DIY project a couple of years ago. I used a dht22 sensor to measure temperature and humidity as well as a hall sensor and a magnet to calculate the wind speed. The data is sent via Wi-Fi to the Arduino IoT Cloud and can then be seen in the Arduino IoT Remote app (configuration of the Arduino IoT Cloud is needed).
Things you need to build this wheather station:
- Arduino Nano RP2040
- DHT22 Sensor
- Hall Sensor
- Magnet (diameter: 5mm, height: 5mm)
- 9V block battery
- block battery connector
- 608zz bearings
- cables
- nuts and bolts (M3 and M8)
- Arduino IoT Remote App
- Arduino IoT Cloud setup like seen in the pictures above
- code for the Arduino (contained in the zip file "Weather Station Code.zip", needs to be uploaded to the Arduino IoT Cloud and then be synced with the Arduino board via Wi-Fi, note: the Arduino needs to be connected to the Arduino IoT Cloud first)
Arduino Pinout:
- GND → Hall Sensor & DHT22
- 3V → Hall Sensor & DHT22
- A0
