3D Printed Parts:
The Wind Vane, 4 pieces plus propeller, geometry was downloaded from
GrabCad.com/library https://grabcad.com/library/buoy-7, which I altered.
The propeller I doubled in size and increased the thickness so that supports could be removed without breaking the blades.
The bevel gears were also downloaded from Grabcad.com/library, which I altered.
https://grabcad.com/library/coaxial-rotor-gearbox-1

The rest of the parts I designed from scratch.

The .stl files were exported with a fine tolerance so the threads would print well.
Also, for the threads to work smoothly, add +.12mm for hole compensation for the threads in the X, Y, plane. You probably could also wood or metal screws if you can’t find any #8-32 screws.

Purchased Hardware:
1. Board, 1” min. thick by 10” x 14”
2. 2 x 4, Dim. 1.5” x 3.5” x 8.0”
3. Strut, Pole, or 2 x 4 to mount Wind Vane.
4. Wood screws to mount 2 x 4 to board
5. 10 x 3” wood screws (2 - req’d) to attach “Direction Arrow Bracket”
6. 10 x
