hey people,

i love to brew my own beer and I also a beginner in programming with Arduino and IOT.
So i was checking, about the iSpindel or other Hydrometer (130€).
On the one hand, it was to complex or on the other hand was to expensive.

So i here is my solution for it. And it cost you only a few $ or € (~30€ or less) and easy to set up/check data). You can check with it the tempature, °Plato, pitch and voltage of your battery.


Here is what you need:
- printed weBrewSpindel (infill 20% 0.15mm)
- 18650 LiPo (mine is USB 3.7 V 1400 mAh)
- NodeMCU-ESP32
- GY-521 Gyroscope
- XXL PETLING with cap
- mini switch
- some wires
- lead weights to get the pitch in clear water


Steps:
1. print weBrewSpindel
2. glue and attach the nodeMCU like on the chart
3. do the wireing
4. create your thingspeak account
- you will need 4 fields: temperature, °Plato, pitch and voltage
5. setup the code
- add your wifi SSID and PW
- add your thingspeak API key (for writing)
