Weighted Base for Modular Clamping System

This is a weighted base that hold clamps and other tools in various configurations so that you can saw/ file/ airbrush model parts. It is also a container for useless currency (US and Canadian pennies). It holds a dollar's worth. In some post-apocalyptic future, when desperate mobs scour the landscape for copper, it could be a source of hidden wealth.

The system works nicely in the sense that, when you get things dialed in right, the pieces snap together like Lego bricks. Small No. 0 wood screws fit into sockets in the bases of the various modular pieces. The screw collars push the walls of the sockets outwards. By tightening the screws and filing the outside edges of the sockets, you can get a solid fit into the holes in the base. If the contact wears and becomes loose over time, just tighten down the screws a bit further.
