Took my car to the shop to get aligned, they said they couldnt cause the rack was worn out. Yes i know it's worn out , it's got 410,000 miles on it. i just wanted the tires to quit wearing out because the toe was so far out of alignment. So, i went and made a jig to line it up myself.
You'll need to print three parts, two of them three times. see the pics for details. basically, print the center, then print the wheelbrace and slider2 3 times each. you'll need some 5/16 threaded rod, i used two 14" and one 9.5" length pieces. My printer prints the holes kind of small, so you may need to adjust the holes in the center piece, so i included the freecad files.
once assembled, press the slider down between the tire and rim, put some nuts on either side of the wheel brace to lock it down, and then simply stretch a tape measure between the lower threaded rods. it's kind of clunky at first, but once you get it to hang on to the wheel, it works great. it won't be a laser alignment qualit
