Made this primarily to sharpen kitchen knives on a diamond whetstone. I wanted something as close to a traditional stone sharpening as possible just with the angles taken care of. There are a few different angles of sled depending on how you prefer your knives. (You only need to print one.) Ought to work on chisels and plane blades too but I find those much easier to sharpen anyway.

It would work with anything of similar or less thickness and width. Length shouldn't matter - you'd just use longer or shorter rods.
Needs two lengths of 6mm rod or pipe. I used steel. Also 4 linear bearings with 6mm ID and 12mm ED. I used these:
