This is my whiteboard marker holder design. It's not really a remix of any of the many similar holder posts specifically but is certainly inspired by them. The back cutout is designed so that supports are not needed but if you are using V1 they might help with the rings.
TIP: If you put the markers tip down the markers will put down more ink when using them.
The whiteboard I have in my study is raised glass with a metal backing. This allowed me to place magnets on the other side of the board. This really added a lot of stability but isn't required.
Version 1 has a ring to hold magnets that are from Amazon http://a.co/axO7k3K
They support 1.26" or 32mm discs that are 0.2" or 5mm deep. I used these because without something powerful the holder would shift too much on the board.
Version 2 does not have any magnet supports in case somebody had different size magnets to glue.
