Wii U Gamepad USB-C Hardmod

This mod replaces the unused rear port of the Wii U Gamepad with a USB C charging port. I made this for 2 reasonsThe charging port on the Wii U often has a weak connection, leading to disconnects.Nintendo decided to use a proprietary charging port on the Wii U, meaning you must otherwise use either the stock AC adapter or a 3rd party alternative.THIS MOD REQUIRES SOLDERING SKILLS.IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO SOLDER, DO NOT ATTEMPT.THIS IS PROVIDED AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY.However, the board which the rear port is on is not required to use the Wii U Gamepad. Its only function is charging through the Wii U Gamepad Dock and the Sync button. This mod replaces Wii U Gamepad Dock compatibility with USB C.I used the USB C ports linked below. it is a tight fit inside, so i recommend you use these. Others may not work. Ensure that whatever USB C ports you use have dual 5.1K resistors. These allow for the use of C to C cables. INSTALL GUIDE Follow this Ifixit Guide until completing step 5: ht
