We bought some cut-to-length window shades (Levolor brand) from a big-box store. The associate cut the length too short, so the mounting brackets for the shade wouldn't work in our window. I created these brackets to be thicker (wider?) to work with the shade. They actually seem a little stronger than the flimsy metal brackets that came with the shade, too.
