Ever wanted your WMR motion controllers to run for 100 hours of operation before needing to recharge? Well, by using a 1-1.2V forward voltage diode, an almost completely reversible controller mod, and a 1S Lipo battery, you can do that. The file was designed to fit a battery that is now discontinued, former Hobbyking SKU 9472000033-0. But using a bit of padding or designing an insert will allow you to use smaller softcase packs. (Don't use an exposed softcase lipo on a motion controller, just don't. You'll hit something, inevitably.) Hobbyking sells a good one here, although it won't last quite as long as the one I'm using, and it's softcase: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-2000mah-1s-1c-lipoly-w-2-pin-jst-ph-connector.html It's literally made for projects like this. Low discharge rate, protection circuit (although I'm not sure what type), and high capacity for its voltage. I've included an insert for them.
