Tired of red wine stains on your tablecloths and unsightly paper napkin bows around bottle necks? I certainly was. Seeking a more elegant and effective solution, I designed this 3D-printed wine drip catcher. 🧩 Key Features Absorbent Insert Compartment Inside the ring, there’s a built-in space designed to hold a rolled piece of paper or cloth. This allows it to not only catch wine drips, but also absorb them immediately, helping to keep your tablecloth spotless. Smart Orientation for Maximum Efficiency The ring has two slightly different inner diameters. When mounted, the larger opening should face up, guiding drips into the center. The smaller opening faces down, helping to block and hold the liquid along with the paper. Designed for Support-Free Printing Print it upright with the smaller hole on the print bed. No supports needed — just slice, print, and enjoy. Two Variants Included One version is smooth and minimalist, the other includes a subtle “B” engraving on the bottom for a personal touch. 📝 How to Use the Insert To maximize absorption, use a strip of paper that is roughly 2.5–3 times the diameter of the ring. Roll it loosely and insert it into the internal chamber. There’s no need for precision — just make sure it fills the circumference and stays in place. 🛠 Print Settings - Material: PLA or PETG recommended - Layer Height: 0.2 mm - Infill: 10-15% - Supports: Not needed - Orientation: Print with the smaller hole side down - Top Surface Pattern: Set to Concentric for a smoother and cleaner top layer finish 🔧 Compatibility & Customization This drip catcher is designed to fit most standard wine bottle necks, but feel free to scale it in your slicer if needed. If you have ideas for improvements, adjustments for specific bottles, or just want to suggest a tweak — let me know in the comments! I’m open to any kind of feedback or critique, and would love to see how you adapt or remix the design.
