This is a case for an ESP32 "Oled Wifi battery" development board so that it can be easily used as a Model Railway wireless Throttle with Rocrail.
To use this you will need need the ESP32 board, a battery, a 3 way membrane keypad and a rotary switch.
The software to make this work is Rob's excellent "WIO" (Wireless IO) software that is now part of his Rocrail software.
To explore Rocrail visit Rob's site: https://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php
The "WIO specific" stuff is on https://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=arduino:wio-en
Rob used a slightly different pinout in his original default settings, using pin 36, which will require an external pull-up resistor if you use his wiring.
I chose a slightly different wiring scheme, (see Pins.txt) that does not need external pullups and uses the internal pullups for a very slightly simpler electrical interface.
Rob has now included this as an "official" option the WIO code: spo, to use "my" wiring, modify line 13 (or thereabouts) in USE
