While assembling wire shelving units (sometimes called NSF shelving), the split plastic shelf support sleeves may slip downward causing the shelf to be uneven. This tool (printed in pairs) helps prevent movement, even when using a mallet.

Place tool pair directly under a shelf sleeve and hold together by hand while seating shelf corner. Print multiple pairs and hold together with tape to make assembly much easier for one person working alone.

For use with 1-inch diameter poles with 1-inch ridge spacing. These seem to be the standard dimensions across several brands for both light and heavy duty shelves, at least in the US.

Printing suggestion: print at a 30-degree angle using supports with inner surface facing up, rather than vertically. This should give the ridges much higher shear strength.
