I bought some wire and needed a convenient way to store them so modelled a little spool for them.
Inside diameter is 20mm, outside is 50mm.
I have added a hole in the centre to put the wire in to make winding the wire easier and there are two sets of 3 holes in the outside edges, one set is 2mm in diameter, one 3mm.
These are to secure the other end of the wire, or you could use a rubber band.
Note the holes may print smaller depending on your printers accuracy, a quick scoop with something sharp will sort that out.
Print:
2x Spool Halves
3x Sliders
I have included various sizes of the insert sliders to use depending on your printer's accuracy.
They're all 2mm shorter than the space provided however they differ in thickness, I recommend using the -0.0 for the tightest fit and using a hammer to knock them in if necessary.
Note if you print the sliders without a raft the first layer will make them a tighter fit than intended while the rest of it is loose, so you'll need
