Started as a quick-to-print elevated track support, morphed into this. "X" bracing on the outside seems to make it pretty strong and gives it a bit of an industrial feel. Dimensions adjusted a few times (3rd or 4th revision here) to be compatible withe the newer clone wooden train sets, my old Brio track from the 1980's is a little loose.
