Woodworking stop block

This is a modification of a stop block that is widely available on Aliexpress. I used it as stop block for a pluge saw on a guide rail that is fixed to my workbench. The original aluminium version does have one major flaw: there is about 7cm space between the measurement and the stop - i.e. the closest I could get to the guide rail is 7cm and therefore the shortest cut I could make was 7cm. However, I did like the micro adjustment to calibrate to whatever blade is installed and took this into my design. I have created a 3D version that now allows me to get basically to 0mm to the guide rail. The stop block is is attached to a 60x30 aluminium profile on my workbench. It still has the micro adjustment element to calibrate. A small piece of acrylic is fixed on to of the micro adjustment to create a ease-to-readout gauge on a self-adhesive measuring tape. The part connected to the aluminium profile and the stopper is connected with a 6mm rod to create a hinge. Additional items required2x 1
