Worcester Polytechnic Institute Campus

Scale model of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) campus. Shoutout and credit to this youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vhV5kKe66g, that helped me figure almost everything out. Basically the process described in the video uses building and elevation data from google maps and puts it into Blender to create the STL.

The STL is pretty large so once put into Cura, I scaled it to 12.5%. At this scaling, the dimensions of the print are about 5.5'' x 3.25''. Also, the file thinks some of the building objects are hollow so I recommend supports.

Along with the STL, I have included the Blender file for the model. This file has the mapping of elevation and each building, sorted by name, created as individual objects. The data for Morgan Hall, Salisbury Labs, and the Rooftop Field did not translate over from google maps for some reason so I made those objects by hand.

I might come back at some point to touch up the blender file but for right now it is what it is. It
