Wounded Minnow Surface Lure

This is a topwater lure designed to mimic the behavior of a wounded baitfish on the surface. The lure can be assembled from standard fishing tackle: a steel leader, a barrel swivel, two hooks, and as must steel shot as is necessary to achieve the desired buoyancy. For a better performing lure, use steel piano wire as the central rod.

Print with 20% hexagonal infill to create chambers to contain the weights in the appropriate areas (this will also give it a nice rattle). I used glow-in-the-dark PLA, smoothed out with sandpaper and acetone to get a nice glossy finish.
