I have a few of these Wyze brand smart plugs at home and trigger them manually as often as through automation. I'm sure Wyze engineers work tirelessly to make everything look seamless and smooth, but I wanted to be able to find the button in the dark, or hidden behind a sofa, and make them easier for guests to operate.

So, I designed this little thingi to stick on the side to make it more tactile and more visible.

Slice the model with the large flat side down, nothing fancy. 25mm square outside dimension is the correct scale. Around 15min print time at 0.2mm, and doesn't take much filament. Then stick it to the plug with thin double-sided tape.

This simple idea works so well, I'll be designing similar surrounds for a Sony soundbar with invisible touch buttons on top. Stay tuned.

Let me know if you like this thing, find other uses for it, or have additional input.

Happy printing!
