I designed this coat hook with a center support and two prongs which bend from the back of the piece to the front, creating an x-shaped hook to hang a variety of items. The hook is designed with focus on versatility and utility. It is able to support objects from the two top prongs, the middle support, or either of the bent legs on the bottom. The piece can be screwed into a wall or other base with two counter sunk screws and should not exceed an added weight of 10 pounds. Post processing involves sanding and spray painting with desired color.
I designed this piece using Rhino 7 by extruding the 2d shape to the desired thickness, capping to make a solid closed poly-surface, and then using the bend command to create the hooked feature. A cylinder was added to the center for support, the end of the top prongs were filleted, and the holes fro the screws were made by using boolean subtraction with the shape of the desired screw.
