X5S Modification- Narrow Z

Narrow Z mount for X5S so side walls can be added.

I slid my bed forward to better fit the extruder setup I have currently. I created a longer cable chain bracket for that. You can position it where ever you want.

To install the lower bracket, place the top t nuts in place before you install the bracket. Then drop top screws in after vertical face screws are tightened.

Drill template for extra holes uses same spacing as old holes (20 mm). Don't cut anything until you get it all test fit together.

Added a template to cut out the panel.
