Xylophone mallet head

Just bought a used xylophone (actually, a glockenspiel, or bell kit) and it only came with one mallet. Not wanting to spend **_ten whole dollars_** on new mallets I bought some dowel at Home Depot and designed some mallet heads to print for them. I used the existing mallet as a template and cut the dowel to 12" and they work like a charm.

Granted, soft rubber mallets might be a little nicer to use, but these seem to perform similarly to the wooden mallet that we got with the instrument.
