Update 8/4/24
So I used this case a lot over the summer of 2024. I had one I printed that I used on my belt to carry my radio on hikes or errans, I also kept on in the truck to slide the radio in when I was driving.
I noticed to things, the top edge scratched on side some and that was uncomfortable.
I also noticed that in the heat of the truck the PLA warped. And while I could have used ABS, PLA+ or even ASA. I didn't want to.
The updates:
I thickened up the case some. Only like 1/16 of an inch.
I designed a bevel along the top of the of the case that might rub against your body or shirt.
I widened the insert portion of the case so that it rubbed just a little less on the rubber over molds of the radio body. Only like a total of 1/32 inch. I tightened up by 1/64 inch total around the radio belt clip to ensure good retention.
I added some diamond shaped cutouts for audio clearity. (no supports should be needed)
Finally I slide up and over more mid-line on
