Yang is a proponent of UBI, Universal Basic Income; his flagship policy would be to implement UBI in the US, branded as the Freedom Dividend (FD), such that every American adult would receive $1000/month, no questions asked. This venture would help mitigate some of the impacts of massive job loss due to automation and stimulate local economies.
