I really liked the design I based this on, but wanted to go even bigger, and with the wind here I felt like I also needed a stronger axle. So this design used the original blade shapes (increased in size by 60% - 375mm across) and reconfigured the axles, hubs, and mounts.
You'll need to be extra careful when gluing the bearings in so that you use enough to adhere to the rim of the bearings and not accidentally get it on the center hub or into the bearings (I glued mine with the cap facing the glued surface).
Other than the prints, you will need the following hardware:
- Two 608 (2RS) bearings
- Two M8-1.25 x 25mm machine screws
- Two M8 hex nuts
- One 5 foot 1/2" steel conduit (I found mine pre-cut at Home Depot)
- One 4 foot 1/2" rebar (this is optional, I wanted more stability due to the wind)
