Supplies needed:
1/2 inch section on conduit
3/4 section of conduit
1000KV RC motor
I have included two motor mounts for this project, but have only built one variation, and thus the motor shroud for the smaller motor mount was not designed.
I used an old burned out 100KV RC motor for the bearing case of the hub.
I have not attempted to generate electricity from this design, but I imagine it could be possible using either a gear reduction, or belt, and pulley design.
To assemble:
install the brushless motor to the mount, and glue into the end of the 1/2 inch conduit.
assemble propeller blades to hub, and set aside ( I used 3/16in screws)
- I used the stock propeller shaft mount that came from this motor to clamp the shroud, and the hub together, additional spacers may be required to ensure the propeller mount clamps to the shaft of the motor. (1000kv motor shown in photo) - these are relatively cheap on ebay, There is a mount for use with a smaller quadcopter mo
